A Shakespearean sojourn?

I'm planning some sort of Bard-iferous ride through the streets of London. Not just to the new Globe, which apparently squats above the site of the original is about 200 meters or so from the original site -- I'll be keeping it old school. It's still possible to dally in the approximate area where the first theatre stood in Shakespeare's day. There's not much there now, apart from an overflowing wheelie bin or two. But, verily, do the molecules still resonate?

The ting ting

This is my new brass bell, purchased from the well-mannered wheelmen at Velorution, which is fast becoming my favourite London bike shop.

All too often cyclists -- myself among them -- succumb to Bike Rage, snarling and feinting through the wreckage-strewn city streets. Like certain kinds of bully, the traffic can be both cruel and stupid, and it encourages reciprocity.

But the bell is a sign of civility and simple decency.

So ring your bell, I say! Ring it and smile and wave.

Hello!

Welcome to my new blog, dedicated to cycling in London and wherever else my whirling wheels may take me.
